Alexander Marsalek started working in the A-SIT group in 2013. He finished his Master in Information and Computer Engineering, with a focus on IT Security and Computer Visions in 2016. His master thesis was titled "An Android Malware-Detection Framework based on Dynamic Analysis". Afterwards, he started his Ph.D. with a focus on public blockchains.

Research

In my Ph.D. thesis, I am focusing on public blockchains. In this research, I aim to solve two issues of public blockchains, namely the ever-growing size and the impossibility to correct data in the blockchain, based on a majority decision. Besides, I am involved in many projects implemented at the Secure Information Technology Center Austria (A-SIT). Some example projects are:
