Partnerships

IAIK's major goal is to do research and to teach university students in the wide context of information security. Information security is also of paramount importance for administrative bodies and organisations, both, public and private. Therefore, IAIK has been always seeking a broader scope of its mission and has
established partneships with extra-university bodies.


Secure Information Technology Center Austria

Together with the Austrian Ministry of Finances and the Austrian National Bank, IAIK forms A-SIT. IAIK constitutes the research unit in this center. A-SIT's role is to support Austria's public administration in questions of information security. Currently, the policies for electronic signatures, the use of cryptography are the major research topics.

Stiftung Secure Information and Communication Technologies

IAIK has established the SIC to encourage independent scientific research, development as well as teaching and knowledge transfer in the fields of applied information processing, communication and information security. SIC is also responsible for continued development, support and sales of the Crypto Toolkits for the Java platform that were originally developed by IAIK.
