Martin Schläffer

Curriculum vitae

Martin Schläffer is a postdoctoral research assistant at IAIK and a member of the IAIK Krypto group, led by Prof. Dr. Vincent Rijmen. He received his PhD degree (Dr.techn.) in computer science at the Graz University of Technology, Austria in 2011. His research interests are the analysis, design and secure implementation of (symmetric) cryptographic algorithms. Currently, he is working on the design and analysis of cryptographic hash functions.

Together with a team from IAIK and DTU Mathematics, Martin Schläffer has submitted the hash function Grøstl to the NIST SHA-3 competition. Grøstl is currently in the final. A collection of cryptographic results on SHA-3 candidates can be found in the SHA-3 Zoo.
